Review: Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark Series, Book 8) by Kresley Cole c.2010

Grade: B

What can you say about Kresley Cole that hasn't already been said before? It seems unlikely to me that people are just picking up this series all willy-nilly and starting with book eight -- but if there are people out there doing just that, surely they would be mightly confused by the end of this book.

So if you haven't read anything by Kresley Cole yet, I highly suggest you turn back around and hit up book one (that would be the most excellent A Hunger Like No Other) before picking up this title.

As for the rest of you who are reading the wonder that is Kresley Cole and haven't yet had the opportunity to devour this new release -- Demon from the Dark is just another good, solid entry into the Immortals After Dark Series. The characters are engaging, the plot is interesting, the sexual chemistry is smoking hot, and the romance is cute and sweet and angsty and all of those other good things.

( No actual spoilers, just thoughts on the book )

So in the end, this is a book that provides exactly what you expect from Kresley Cole. An above average paranormal that makes you smile, makes you sniffle, and makes you curse the need to sleep over the need to finish reading. I cheerfully look forward to the next book in the series and acknowledge that few have managed to pull off Cole's level of success in the paranormal category.
